Aldi has been one of my favourite stores for a while now. I always shopped there while I was studying, and would love leaving with 2 bags full of groceries and goodies that probably totalled £20! SOOO cheap and amazingly high quality. Anyway, on to my Aldi haircare review.

I was shopping at Aldi recently and noticed the Carino Mighty Haircare products. I believe they have gone under a rebrand because I’ve not noticed them before. My scalp and hair has been terrible lately (itchy, dry, flaky & greasy :() so I’ve been on the hunt for a new shampoo & conditioner for a little while. Obviously, being the peasant bargain hunter that I am, I couldn’t resist giving these a try. I have been using the products for a couple of weeks now so it’s about time I give them a review!

I love finding budget beauty buys and this Aldi Haircare range is a truly amazing find! An Aussie dupe - read my review on my blog,

Without any further ado, here is my Aldi haircare review!

My hair has been so much better. I don’t have to wash it everyday any more, it doesn’t go crazy frizzy in the rain and it juts behaves way better than it did before. The shampoo lathers well, the conditioner smells good and does it’s job very well, and both are 300ml so will last a long time. At £2.50 a bottle, this stuff is an absolute steal and is well worth a purchase.

I don’t love the smell of the shampoo, and it’s difficult to say exactly what it is that I’m not a fan of. It smells nice initially, but then it has that strong, let’s say hairspray smell? You know when you use too much and the scent gets stuck in your nose and eyes… Ha! It’s not major but I do notice it every time I use it and I’m not a lover of that tangy hairspray smell.

To be quite honest, there isn’t really an ugly. I don’t love the packaging but it’s not something that bothers me, and this stuff works so well that I could find it pretty damn easy to overlook anything superficial about the product.

Final score?

4/5 – I would direct anybody looking for amazing budget haircare to their nearest Aldi.

Have you tried the Mighty haircare range or any other Aldi beauty products?

Let me know in the comments!
