WHY BARRY M MOLTEN METAL?
Barry M has been one of my favourite makeup brands since my teenage years experimenting with neon nails and bright pink lipsticks and it is still my ultimate go-to for nail polishes.
I love the variety of colours, finishes and obviously the amazing value of Barry M’s products, so when I was last in Boots the 3 for 2 offer on Barry M Molten Metal was wayyyy too good to resist. There were 5 colours to pick from, including an awesome holographic but I went through a crazy phase with those last year so I chose Pink Ice, Copper Mine and Black Diamond. I was especially looking for a good sparkly black polish after my fiasco with my Maybelline nail polish.
A stunningly pretty shade of pale pink laced with tiny silver sparkles, my mum went out and bought this the day after I painted my nails because it is just THAT pretty.
It suits everyone, goes with any outfit and is generally lovely. The polish itself is smooth and I could have got away with one thick coat but two looked better. No topcoat needed and it lasted a solid 4/5 days without any chips.
Another beautiful rose gold shade, this is more on the bronzey-gold side but is just as lovely. I think this colour will look better on warmer skin tones.
I found this nail polish slightly thinner but two coats gave a good, long-lasting finish. Again, no topcoat needed and it lasted the best part of a week.
I was finally able to end my search for a muted but sparkly black nail polish. This shade has a black base colour and silver glitter running through it so it dries down to a dark gunmetal colour.
A bit like the BMW metallic paint job of nail polishes, I love it! It channels my inner goth but is still girly and muted. Another great formula but you will need two coats. I didn’t use a top coat and I found that this didn’t chip at all until day six! Amazing!
I think Pink Ice is my favourite colour purely because I love nude tone nail colours and this is kinda like a nude with a twist (sort of) and I found myself admiring my nails at regular intervals throughout the day.
If you’re into doing your nails at home, definitely watch my tutorial for shaping your nails in a lovely almond shape. I love a bit of beauty DIY.
Have you tried any of the Barry M Molten Metal nail polishes? I’ve got my eye on the holographic so let me know if you love it!
